Free School Meals

If you think you may be eligible to free school meals for your child/children then you need to make an application. If you are entitled then you will still need to re-apply each term as the entitlement only lasts one term.

Parents need to re-apply online each school holiday or before each term at

If a parent applies in term time they will have a letter to prove their eligibility that they can send/email into the school. Eligibility starts from the date on the letter and lasts for the remainder of the term.

Your child might be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit
Please ask the school office if you need any further assistance
