Making a Difference Together
At Winford Church of England Primary School, we are fortunate to have a supportive and enthusiastic Parent Teacher Association (PTA), which plays an important role in bringing our school community together.
Our PTA is made up of parents, carers, staff and other members of our school community who generously give their time, ideas and energy to support the school.
Through fundraising events, community activities and practical support, the PTA helps provide additional resources and experiences that enrich school life for all our children.
The PTA reflects our school values of Aspire, Belong and Care, showing what can be achieved when we work together.
What Does Our PTA Do?
Our PTA helps organise events and activities that bring families together while raising valuable funds for the school.
These may include:

School fairs and seasonal celebrations.

Discos and other children's events.

Raffles and fundraising activities.

Family and community events.

Special projects to improve school facilities and resources.
These activities are not just about fundraising. They also provide opportunities for families to meet, build friendships and feel part of the Winford community.
How Does the PTA Support Our Children?
Money raised by the PTA is used to provide additional opportunities, equipment and resources that benefit children across the school.
One recent example is the mud kitchen in our outdoor play area, which was funded by the PTA. It has become a popular part of playtimes, encouraging imaginative play, cooperation and creativity.
PTA support helps us develop enriching experiences and improve the school environment in ways that might not otherwise be possible.
We are incredibly grateful for the time, generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who contributes.
Everyone Is Welcome!
You do not need to be able to attend every meeting or volunteer regularly to be part of the PTA.
There are lots of ways to help, and every contribution makes a difference.
You might like to:

Help at an event for an hour or two.

Share ideas for future fundraising.

Assist with organising activities.

Donate prizes, resources or raffle items.

Use your skills or contacts to support a project.

Simply attend events and enjoy being part of the school community.
Whether you have lots of time or just a little, your support is always appreciated.
Getting involved is also a lovely way to meet other parents and carers and feel more connected to school life.
Supporting Our PTA
There are many ways families and local businesses can support our PTA.
You can help by attending events, donating items, offering practical assistance or supporting fundraising activities.
Local businesses may also be able to contribute through donations, sponsorship or raffle prizes.
Every contribution, however small, helps make a difference to our children.
