Newsletters and Communications

Keeping Our School Community Connected

At Winford Church of England Primary School, we believe that good communication between school and home is essential. By sharing information, celebrating achievements and working together, we can help every child flourish.

Our values of Aspire, Belong and Care are reflected in the way we communicate with our families. We aim to keep parents and carers informed, involved and connected with school life.

Our Termly School Newsletter

We publish a school newsletter once each term, bringing together highlights from across Winford.

Our newsletters celebrate children's achievements, showcase learning and activities, and share some of the wonderful things happening in our school community.

They also provide an opportunity to reflect on the term and look ahead to upcoming events.

Read Our Latest Newsletter in the link at the bottom of the page.

ClassDojo – Our Main Communication Platform

ClassDojo is our main way of keeping parents and carers regularly updated.

We use ClassDojo to share:ClassDojo

  • Important school announcements and reminders.

  • Updates about classroom learning and activities.

  • Information about upcoming events and trips.

  • Celebrations of children's achievements.

  • Messages and information from class teachers.

  • Practical information to help families stay organised.

ClassDojo also provides a convenient way for parents and carers to contact their child's class teacher about routine matters.

We encourage all families to check ClassDojo regularly so that they do not miss important information.

Please remember that teachers are busy teaching during the school day and may not be able to respond immediately. For urgent matters, please telephone the school office.

Facebook – Sharing Life at Winford

Our official Facebook page is a great way to see some of the exciting things happening across our school.

We use Facebook to share general updates, celebrate school achievements, highlight special events and showcase the opportunities our children enjoy.

Our Facebook page also helps us connect with the wider village community and prospective families.

To protect children's privacy, we do not publish identifiable photographs of pupils on our public Facebook page.

Please note that Facebook is not our main channel for important parent communications. Families should continue to check ClassDojo for school messages and reminders.

Contacting School

We welcome communication from parents and carers and encourage you to contact us whenever you have a question or concern.

Class teachers should usually be your first point of contact for matters relating to your child's learning, wellbeing or day-to-day school experience.

Our school office can help with general enquiries, appointments, attendance and administrative matters.

For urgent messages, including changes to collection arrangements, please telephone the school office rather than relying on ClassDojo.

If your child is absent, please contact the school promptly and provide a clear reason for their absence.

Absence Line: 01275 476580

Please report absence before the morning register closes at 8.50am.

Feedback and Concerns

We value parents' views and want to resolve any concerns positively and promptly.
