Discover What Your Child Will Be Learning at Winford

At Winford Church of England Primary School, we provide a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum that inspires curiosity, develops knowledge and helps every child flourish.

Our curriculum is carefully planned to build on children's previous learning, developing their knowledge, skills and understanding as they move through the school.

Guided by our Christian vision, Together we Flourish, and our school values of Aspire, Belong and Care, we aim to provide learning experiences that encourage children to be confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.

How Our Curriculum Is Organised

Our curriculum is carefully sequenced so that children revisit and build upon important knowledge and skills as they progress through the school.

Learning is organised across the academic year, with opportunities to make connections between subjects and apply knowledge in different contexts.

Alongside classroom learning, we enrich our curriculum through educational visits, visitors, outdoor learning, practical activities and experiences that help bring learning to life.

Supporting Your Child's Learning

We believe that strong partnerships between home and school help children achieve their best.

Our termly class newsletters provide more detailed information about current learning, important events and practical ways you can support your child at home.

You can also follow regular class updates through ClassDojo, where teachers share learning experiences, photographs and reminders.
