Come along to Winford brook, by the church and watch some fantastic decorated ducks get wet and competitive. From 10.30am there will be sprint duck races.

Everyone has the chance to bet on the duck they think will win each race and if lucks on their side maybe even win some prize money! Together with lots of duck racing, there will be food stalls and activities for all the family to enjoy. It’s a great day and helps raise much needed funds for the school.

With the Easter break fast approach now is the time to purchase your sprint duck and get creative.

What do you need to do?

Each child at Winford Primary school can buy a duck for £6. Your child will need to give your duck a name and decorate it however they fancy.

Pupils will be given their duck to decorate at home. All ducks will need to be returned to school by Wednesday 19^th April 2023 in preparation for the big race day.

Once your duck has raced in their class race, your duck is yours to keep and will happily find a place to nest in your home.

If you'd like to enter a duck in one of the sprint race they will be on sale Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week in the playground at pick up.

All you need to do is come with Ducks name.
