Wraparound Care - Breakfast and After School Clubs
A Happy Start and Finish to the School Day
At Winford Church of England Primary School, we understand how important reliable, flexible childcare is for busy families.
Our Breakfast and After-School Clubs provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where children can relax, play and enjoy time with friends before and after the school day.
Both clubs are run by Winford school staff, providing familiar, trusted adults who know our children well.
We aim to create a calm, caring and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels that they belong.

Breakfast Club
A relaxed and positive start to the day
Our Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am and provides children with a welcoming place to begin their morning.
Children can enjoy breakfast, spend time with friends and take part in a range of calm activities before joining their classes.
Our aim is to help children feel settled, happy and ready for learning.
At the end of the session, children are supported to move into the normal school day.
After-School Club
Time to play, relax and enjoy being together
Our After-School Club begins at the end of the school day and offers children a relaxed environment in which to unwind.
Children are offered a hot or cold snack before enjoying a choice of activities.
Activities may include:
-
Arts, crafts and creative activities.
-
Board games, puzzles and construction.
-
Imaginative play.
-
Outdoor play and physical activities.
-
Reading and quieter activities.
-
Opportunities to socialise and spend time with friends.
Children are encouraged to make choices about how they spend their time, with a balance of active play and opportunities to relax.
We make use of both indoor and outdoor spaces, depending on the weather and activities available.
A Familiar and Caring Environment
One of the strengths of our wraparound care is that it is run by members of our own school staff.
This means that children are cared for by familiar adults who understand our school routines, expectations and values.
We limit the number of places available in both clubs to maintain a calm, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Our wraparound care is an extension of our school community, reflecting our values of Aspire, Belong and Care.
Food, Allergies and Dietary Requirements
Breakfast Club provides children with breakfast, while After-School Club offers a hot or cold snack.
Please ensure that we are informed of any allergies, intolerances, medical conditions or special dietary requirements.
Winford is a nut-free school, and this also applies to our wraparound care provision.
If your child has particular dietary or medical needs, please discuss these with us before their first session so that appropriate arrangements can be considered.

Collection Arrangements
For safeguarding reasons, children must be collected by a parent, carer or an adult authorised by their family.
Please inform the school if there are any changes to your child's usual collection arrangements.
We ask families to collect children promptly and no later than the club's closing time.
If you are unexpectedly delayed, please contact the school as soon as possible.
Supporting All Children
We want our wraparound care to be welcoming and inclusive.
We recognise that some children may need additional support, reassurance or reasonable adjustments to participate comfortably.
If your child has SEND, medical needs or other individual requirements, please contact us so that we can discuss how best to support them.
